No additional cases reported in Taiwan today, tally at 842

TAIPEI (The China Post) — The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC, 中央流行疫情指揮中心) reported no additional COVID-19 cases on Thursday, which was deemed extremely lucky by Health Minister Chen Shih-chung (陳時中).

All those who were possibly in contact or in the same area as cases 838 and 839 have all been tested and the results all came back negative.

According to Chen, 6 other administrative personnel were added to the headcount of people needing to be tested, concluding in a total of 468 people. 

266 medical and administrative personnel, along with 202 hospitalized patients were all tested, with negative results.

39 students and 4 teachers who had been in class with case 839 all tested negative as well, the CECC reported.

Another 55 possible contacts of case 839 were also tested, but aside from case 839 herself, the rest all tested negative.
