Eddie Peng shoots down rumors of romance with Danson Tang

TAIPEI (The China Post) — Taiwanese actor Eddie Peng (彭于晏) on Tuesday hit back at rumors suggesting that he is dating Mandopop singer Danson Tang (唐禹哲).   

“It’s fake news, and it’s boring. That sucks,” Peng wrote to Weibo.

His comment followed his management company’s decision to appoint a lawyer to collect evidence and pursue legal actions against those who spread false rumors.

A screengrab of a post saying that Peng and Tang were about to open to the public about their relationship circulated on social media on Monday.

The gossip was the top search on Chinese searching engines before Peng’s company issued the legal statement.

Some social media users said they were shocked by the rumors, while others speculated that it was fake news, hoping that Peng or Tang would address the issue.
