As recent cold fronts swept through most parts of Asia, many have rushed to get their hands on thermal tops and hand warmer packets to brace themselves against the cold.
During this time, Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo came up with an innovative idea to collaborate with Nissin and launched a “HEATTECH Donbei instant noodle” to warm customers from the inside out.
The collaboration with the instant noodle company was centered around “generating heat” and the new instant noodles do just that.
According to various reports, the new product doesn’t actually incorporate any new technology but rather included certain ingredients that would help warm customers up faster.
The instant noodles come in two flavors: “HEATTECH Donbei Meita-style Ankake Udon” and “HEATTECH Donbei Pork Dashi Ankake Soba.
Both instant noodles have added ginger and shichimi powder, and the product is said to be just like wearing a heated coat where the body immediately warms up!

The instant noodles brand was launched in Japan on Jan. 25 for NT$52 per bowl. Many Taiwanese social media users are reportedly looking forward to the day when they will be available in Taiwan!
