Taiwanese castella cake chain Tairaku Tangao, officially opened at Tokyu Plaza Ginza on March 12, creating a whirlwind of traditional Taiwanese cakes in Tokyo.

According to Japanese media Moshi Moshi Japan, the cakes are made from, fresh eggs, milk and specially-selected wheat flour. The pastry chef made the cake in the authentic Taiwanese way to create fluffiness, such as the souffle cake.
Tairaku Tangao, has reportedly sent a Taiwanese chef to train the staff to create the purest Taiwan-flavored desserts to maintain the authentic taste.
The Tokyu Plaza Ginza branch currently offers cheese, Uji matcha, and chocolate flavors, with the possibility of introducing limited period toppings such as coffee and banana milk in the future.
