TAIPEI (The China Post) — The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC, 中央流行疫情指揮中心) announced on Wednesday that the level 3 epidemic warning will be extended to July 12.

All relevant epidemic-prevention measures will continue, including detailed tracking of infected cases, making sure possible infected cases complete quarantine, administering vaccine shots to high-risk personnel, broadening testing in communities, and monitoring the health of welfare of those working in key industries.

Health Minister Chen Shih-chung (陳時中) remarked, “The main thing is that although the overall trend has improved, it has not reached the previous standards; we have to continue to endure and work together.”

The announcement came following Taiwan’s recent report of 104 new local infection cases and 24 deaths.
